Adlina is an orphan girl child. Her parents lost their lives by committing suicide. First it was her mother who took the extreme step as she could not tolerate her husband’s torture and family problems. Within a week’s time after Adlina’s mother, her father too took the extreme decision of committing suicide. Today Adlina is being taken care of by her maternal grandparents who are in their late 70’s & 60’s. One of Adlina’s uncles who is a handicapped person earns daily wages by working in a stone quarry and out of his wages he helps Adlina but this financial help does hardly suffice the needs. She has been admitted to an English medium school but is unable to pay the regular school fees. The school has withheld her rank sheet due to nonpayment of school fees. Adlina has a hope and future now because she found a sponsor through FICF to help studies.
